Adopting a Puppy

Tommorrow morning, I am going to adopt a puppy from the local animal shelter here.

I found this BEAUTIFUL chocolate lab there. She is about 6-8 months old and well behaved. They told me that she is leash trained and isnt hyper at all. That is great. I am so excited. I go in tommorrow to sign the form and pay. I wont be bringing her home until thursday. She has to get clipped and her shots Its going to be great. Austin is so excited. I think we will name her cocoa.

That is so sweet that you guys are getting a puppy from the shelter. So many of those dogs need good homes. It is going to be one blessed puppy.

I grew up with a Labrador. They are so good with kids & have great personalities. Love her to death... well not literally.

Thats really good and well done for getting a rescue one. I have a retired greyhound, there are so many of them that need new homes.

I will eventually get a dog sometime. Of course i need to relocate from a third floor apartment to something with a yard, or at least first floor, so I can walk him/her anytime. I like that idea, going on walks with the baby and the dog. When I get one, im gonna adopt too. I would love a decent sized dog....golden retriever or something that can tolerate kids.

Well, I went today and signed the papers and paid for her. I will get to pick her up
from the vet tommorrow afternoon, so I will get many pics for all to see!!

Labs are good dogs,

2 of mine are lab mixes.. and all but 2 of my dogs came from the animal shelter, The other 2 are strays that I found.. as are all my cats


Labs are great with children, so I am sure your boys will enjoy the dog.

lol! We get to pick him up today, so once I get out of the appt w. austin, we will go to pet smart, then pick up cocoa. I cant wait!!

Yes i just got a puppy too, A 6 month old white and apricot standard poodle. The owners where selling her because their other dog had pups and they where afraid the poodle might hurt the small pups while playing.

He is such a perfect dog, I am so glad i bought him. I did alot of research on dog and what to feed dogs and training and dog psychology. i hope you do some research to because some of the things i found out really shocked me

I would LOVE to have a pug. I have wanted one for quite some time now. Im hoping that Santa Claus will bring me one for Christmas this year. I already have names picked out too. If I get a boy pug his name will be Oswald and if I get a girl pug her name will be Delilah

I had a pug in high school, her name was Missy. She was SO my baby. She died when I went off to college. I cried for days

I miss my puglet.
