How much should couples share with others? Some people post everything online, while others stay completely private. Do you think public sharing affects relationship trust and intimacy?

I do not agree with this thing called privacy. Why do you need privacy from someone you are going to share your life? Everything should be open.

I think it depends on the couple’s comfort level and mutual understanding. Oversharing online can invite unnecessary opinions or pressure, which might affect trust. Keeping some things private helps protect intimacy. Sharing moments is fine, but not every detail needs to be public for a relationship to feel real.

I always believe that at different trust levels, there are different things that two people in a relationship would be comfortable to talk about. Don't force your partner to talk about the things that he or she doesn't want to talk about at that level. Build intimacy and trust, and he or she would contract the boundaries bit by bit.

Actually, I read a study sometime ago that said the couples who share life too much online, an d try to show the world that their life is perfect, are more likely to have strained relationship in real life.
