Evolution of advancements leave some of us as obsolete. I believe job security is not like it once was. Employers are more interested in following the bottom line.

In our country, if you get a government job, you get a job security, especially when your job is of managerial level. You get a good salary, provident funds as well as pension for your entire life after retirement.

Same thing happens in my country. When you are employed in the civil service in my country, you are assured of working for 35 years and your salary is increased after every three years.

No assurance though with private sector jobs as something can cause people to be laid off anytime.
