Where have all the Obama care supporters run off to? Seems they disappeared about the same time when they realized they were suckers.
Affordable health care act...wow...sounded good didnt it.
Suckers....Now stop acting like pussies you liberal lurkers...Facing your shame is a quality your mothers failed to have taught you as children.

I'm right here! Haha. I am definitely a supporter of Obamacare, but it's for a selfish reason. I'm a chronically ill person who didn't have health insurance for over a year because I couldn't afford it after my dad stopped paying for it when I turned 19 past year, but thankfully after signing up for Obamacare I was able to get my insurance through the government for free. I understand that a lot of people have a problem with it, but it's saving my life.

I'm quite sick of the whole Obamacare thing. I was skeptical about it at first, and the moment it went into effect I lost my health care. I'm all for helping people in need, but a lot of people abuse the system that way. Not to mention the whole plan is screwy. I'm not sure if I'm just unlucky or what, but going to college full time plus working 20-40 hours and still being told 'sorry you don't make enough money to get any reduction' is getting pretty annoying.

Most colleges here in New York make it mandatory that you have health care plans if you are a student, if you can't produce your health card they charge you for their school health plan. I am not sure if that's true in ever state but I know it is here. I think it is just a way to get money from foreign students. I don't quite get how you don't make enough money to get a reduction, are you so far in poverty although you work that you only qualify for Medicade? I am thinking you might live in one of the states that did not increase the medicade rolls because they were against Obamacare?

Yea I am quite convinced that the whole Obamacare thing is just another scam on the people. I do not like it one bit because unless I am really sick and have to go in the hospital I am still paying for everything up to $1200 then the coverage kicks in. Makes you not want to go to the doctor. Like I have that sort of cash laying around, I was better off when I had no insurance and just paid cash for express care from one of those satellite places. They have it all worked out now, if you use that and they are not on your plan forget about it going toward the deductible. You still get to pay the premium though. Worse then a loan shark.

Our state just expanded to Obamacare this year, so previously it was because we didn't make enough. They required an income of at least 16k a year, which we were no where near. However, we were making the same amount before Obamacare and although my father couldn't get insurance, I could. Once it came into effect I lost my insurance. I'm not sure what the issue is now that they expanded. I applied online the first time and was denied for not making enough, again. I tried reapplying on January 1st and was still denied. They kept telling me I don't make enough money. Then I went to the welfare department to try to fight it. They said they have no idea why we're not qualifying and they're trying to figure it out now.

Also, not all states require insurance for students. Our school only requires it if you are in a physical sport. They won't allow you to participate if you don't have insurance.
