Future fur babies

Now that James and I are married the next stop is to have kids. Now I'm only 22 so I am thinking I might just wait a little while longer and live life a little more.

One thing I am very ready for is a puppy and a kitten! We don't have a big yard so we will only be getting a small-medium sized dog. We will be walking them a minimum of 2 times a day as well.

Restricted by being apart of a body corporate we aren't able to get anything to yappy (which we don't want anyway) and James has something against staffies - maybe not all, but most.

The past few years I have been obsessed with French Bulldogs and Pugs but they're are really the flavour of the month at the moment and as such, they cost a fortune! So we are also looking at other breeds.

What is your fur baby? How are their temperaments? Any suggestions? Kittens should be easy - we just want something cute.

I would love one but they're as expensive as French bulldogs. This one went up very recently.

A puppy or kitten are cute but can be destructive. On the subject of babies enjoy your new married life a little before adding babies. Babies hamper travelling and vacations. It becomes like moving plus dealing with their schedules. We waited 3 years before our first. I wish we had done more fun things but we were too busy saving for the future.

We are thinking of waiting a minimum of 3 years before we start trying. James is 10 years older so we do have him to think about as well and he doesn't want to be too old either but we have it all worked out haha

I think we are pretty level headed people. We are waiting for James to have a secure job before we adopt any pets so it is still a couple of months off.
