Let's appreciate the special things in the big world that we live in! I live in the city of Chennai in India. My city actually has a national park contained entirely within its limits, where deer, jackals, wildcats and loads of birds roam/fly freely! Permission is required to enter it. I have been there and enjoyed the peace of being in a quiet place away from traffic!

Melbourne has a few. I'm not sure if I can name one. We have awesome festival type things such as the Melbourne Food and Wine show, Melbourne Fashion week and Melbourne's International Comedy Festival. I might also add we have a Ferris wheel. We have spent millions of dollars over many years and it has been shut down twice after one day of use. It currently isn't working.

The little town I live in looks like an old New England town. The water table here is quite high so we are called The Fountain City because of the number of artisian wells. We have a lot of rivers around where I live.

I live in Tuscaloosa,AL and well I think many would agree that we are know for being the home of the University of Alabama. Football season can get pretty crazy here but I'm sure many businesses love the extra business around that time of year. Other than the university I can't really think of much except that we used to be the location of the capitol of Alabama before it was in Montgomery. The ruins of the building can still be visited today.

I live in the Pacific North-West, in a small town known for the spectacular mountains, natural beauty and excellent salmon fishing.

Chicago has a beautiful lake front and a very large park with fantastic museums. Plus, we have the Chicago dog -- best hotdog in the country. :)

I live on a farm surrounded by Amish neighbors. We have a great cheese factory in the closest town. Had a leather tannery till it closed up a few years ago.

We have some amish around here..some of the areas will be several square miles in size...saw a buggy with electric blinkers but havent been able to see it for quite some time..they may have made him take em off not sure.
Several country stores to go shop a little..I sometimes just spend a day cruising Amish country..its peaceful.

Fitchburg is the second hilliest town in the nation, second only to San Francisco.

Macon, where I was born and raised, has a huge music history despite being just decent sized Southern town. Otis Redding, Little Richard, The Allman Brothers Band, just to name a few. It's also a beautiful city that has, unfortunately, succumbed to a high crime rate. The city holds the Cherry Blossom Festival every year and, although DC is called the "Cherry Blossom Capital of the world" Macon has more trees, a hundred times over.

Warner Robins, where I was living before my move to Mass, only has Little League baseball. *shrugs*
