Time for a rant.
Why dont they leave time alone..it changes nothing..only so many hours of daylight in a day.
It merely takes away an hour of morning light and moves it to the evening.
Dont we base our activities around the sunshine?...not the time....Time is {was} based on the sun.

From what I remember about the reasons was to help cut down on power consumption to light buildings and such for cities etc.. The longer day was to help with work days.. Now that we have so much shift work etc.. it's not the same but they won't give it up now.. It's kinda like a very annoying tradition that could easily go away..

But they lenghten the day...during the seasons that aleady have a later sunset.
Based on thier theory then...winter months should be ds time..other months standard time.

Well it was also so farmers could work later in the fields before such heavy mechanization.

Falling back an hour in autumn is fine with me. But losing an hour in the spring is annoying to me. I don't like losing an hours worth of sleep.

I have always loved the fact that I live in Arizona and we do not change out time! However this morning my alarm on my smart/dumb phone went off. At 7am just like I had set it. But in reality it was 6am. My phone must have forgot it was in AZ. it has never happened before with any phone.

So long story short. I picked up my son an hour early this morning! Lol

True but it's what they did.. at the time.. and lord knows I wasn't alive when they decided all this daylight savings time thing out.. remember I am a youngin' :p
It came about to save energy during a war...was the thesis.
Give the farmers an extra hour.
Made em lazy as they were getting up an hour later...lol

I hate it. I already get up at 5am. That is a hard enough routine to get into now without the help of them changing the damn clocks.

I like the longer daylight hours after work but hate the shift in either direction because my body hates adjusting.

Had to go to another town this morning....due to the time change..I had to fiddle around in the dark for this morning loading stuff in the car...as soon as I was done the sun rose.

If we did it. I don't think it would bother me. I go to work everyday with the sun up. I come home when the sun is down.

Now when I lived in Virginia I hated that crap.
