World’s Tallest Water Slide Debuts in U.S. This Spring

Water-Slide-630x472.jpg

The Kansas City, Kansas, water park, Schlitterbahn, is building the tallest, fastest water slide in the world.

The Verrückt (German for insane) Meg-A-Blaster is scheduled to make its splash when the park opens May 23.

Obviously, the people of Kansas have clearly lost all their usual Midwestern common sense, being this slide is a 17-story plunge, will propel riders at over 65 mph, and then has a little five-story “bump” toward the end of the ride.

According to kansascity.com:

Four-person rafts will plummet down from the tower and over a five-story hill. It’s not a “wedgie producing body slide.”

It might not be wedgie producing, but I can think of something else it might produce. icon_razz.gif

I don't think I would try something like that. I can't swim for one and I don't like the idea of sliding down a slide from that height. I would probably pass out from being up so high first before I get on the slide.

Ooooooohhhhhhh! I would love to have a go on that. 65 mph without a safety belt wearing nothing but your speedos  Hope the water doesn't run dry though otherwise that would be one painful ride!

Yeah they better make sure that ride never runs out of water. I know I will not be going on it. I will just watch all the crazy people get on it and wonder what they are thinking.
