I spent nearly 4 hours walking through the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, just looking at everything and sitting inside the listening booths listening to people give their accounts of what happened w/ tears streaming down my face. It's a very VERY powerful place to visit and I highly recommend it to anybody.

I'm going there on January 4th with my History Of Genocide class.

That's awesome Ryder.. I just looked up the museum rules ( personal habit :D ) and it says you can take pictures. No video/audio but pictures look OK as long as you "don't use a flash' which is pretty normal. If you can or want bring yourself a good camera for low light and take some key pics for reference.

These types of pictures are usually good for reference later when you are overloaded with information.. Not quite what one would necessarily show off as cool shots.. But it may help you keep either a timeline or reference on a subject you want to follow up on while enjoying yourself..

We ccouldn't. I was able to take pictures of Washington and the beginning parts like up to security. But nothing else but that. Sad really. I wanted to take pictures of so many things. The hall of shoes, the room of pictures, but most of all the Hall of Rememberance.
