12 Years Today

I just realized it, but today is my 12 year anniversary at work. The average career span of a dispatcher is 2 years before burnout sets in. I did go through that burnout period, but I came back out of it w/ an even greater appreciation for the job I do. I can't imagine doing anything else for a living...it's just one of those things where it feels like what I was meant to do, yanno???

I'm a 911 dispatcher. We're a consolidated center, so on any given day I could be dispatching EMS, fire, or law enforcement. Today it's law enforcement.
