So elaborating on bits of my public thread... Katie was up front and told me shes been abused in the past and I was ok with it and I would never hurt anyone but she then told me she's on psych meds for emotional break downs/depression plus she takes meds to help her sleep. As I've stated, I am not a person that takes meds. I barely take aspirin and I'm supposed to be on a child's aspirin regimen. I've been on 3 dates with her and she hung out with me on Sunday while I was shopping with my mom for a bit. So it's very well possible even though she claims to be very laid back that I just haven't seen the paralleling side that Meg had... I just don't want to do that again but I don't want to be an asshole. She's already stated that she had an emotional breakdown within the last week or two due to emotions stemming from her long passed father, an upcoming surgery, and the oncoming holidays... Her father's been dead since she was either 18 or 21... (Yeah I know theres a few years gap between the ages) I know it's normal this of year so I was empathetic. I just don't know if I should let it play out or keep fishing because she's really into me.

This is where things get sticky when you're dealing w/ women. Unless we have ASKED you to give us space, IN OUR MINDS, you decreasing contact means you're not as interested as you were before. Yes, I know, it's crazy...but it is what it is.
SHE told me she'd be busy because her brother was home for Christmas so I assumed I wouldn't hear from her... She messaged me emotional. I guess her brothers house was broken into... Somehow that extended to her wanting to cancel her surgery in January... I asked her why and she said it was too long for a text... There should be no considering surgery cancellation, she may have lived with this problem for 28 years but it needs to be rectified.
Straight up, from a real live woman...we still expect you to text us and say "hey, I know you're busy, but just wanted to say hey." Just being honest.

But how many days passed before that text??? I'm just giving you insight to a woman's mind. When you're in that initial stage of wooing and you're calling and texting left and right and it drops off, for a woman that says something is wrong.

Wooing is NOT a two way street...not for most women. I'm not saying that you're in the wrong here, Dana...I'm just telling you that this is how she is seeing things b/c it's how 9 out of 10 women would see it. If you were trying to give her space, TELL HER THAT.Once more, in English???

I feel like an ungrateful douche... Mom bought me a tablet, I love that she bought it but it's only an inch bigger than my smartphone... I was trying not to look disappointed because it was the thought that counts but apparently she's going to try to exchange it.

Sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders. I've learned that younger men are NOT for me. I'm used to dating older men...these younger guys (even though they're just a year or so younger) are not worth the hassle.
