I am sick sick sick of this cold!

It started the day of Joe's Da's funeral. It was a sore throat. Now three weeks later I still have symptoms of coughing, having to blow my nose all the time and I tired of it!!! When I lay down it's the worse because I get up and have to cough a lot and if I cough too hard I have to run to the damn bathroom or I might p*ss my panties!!!:mad Yeah Yeah, TMI, I know but damn it, I'm sick and tired of this damn thing!

I am at work and it's a looooong way to the bathroom from my desk so I am drinking fluids like there is no tomorrow to not cough, but of course that causes me to have to go to the bathroom a lot anyway....but at least it's on my terms :tooth LOL.

Sigh. Having been out three weeks, although I showed my back up how to cut checks she didn't... so the bills are backed up. I have cut about 50 checks so they are mostly caught up now. But travel vouchers are backed up.

Sigh. I don't feel like doing it because I don't feel good okay okay rant over....

I would go see a doctor. Even a "Doc in a Box" might give you some relief.

maybe the cold turned into something else? if anything i would go see the doc just so i could get some stronger cough meds

They can give you an antibiotic & steroids to help fight it if it is viral. If it is allergies they can treat that too.

Okay, I'll call up my doc later and see if she has a late after noon appointment, I have sick leave and comp time I can use even though my annual leave is low now......

what i thought was a cold was actually a severe upper respiratory infection

I had pneumonia in one lung before I finally went.

I got an appointment at 2:15 so that means I only have to take an hour comp. 'Course what usually takes the longest is waiting at the damn pharmacy for them to fill the rx grumble grumble...... Oh well, maybe it will be some magic remedy that will make me all better. At the least I hope it has a high alcohol content in it

Anytime you just did a lot of flying I would get checked out pretty quick. Airplanes are real bad germ factories. You could have caught a bug on the way over or have a dose of Legionaires from the ventilation system. If folks saw what grows in a/c units they would freak.

I was gonna say what Staci said. Sounds like it progressed to something worse than a cold. Hope you get some relief!!!

My doc said it sound like I have some stuff in one lung so she gave me a Z pack of anti-biotics-5 days worth. If that doesn't clear it up I'm to come back to her. So we shall see. I notice I'm coughing less today so maybe it's helping already. They start you with 2 pills and I took another this am.
