Maine wasn't even on the map of hardest hit areas so why do you have to put your two cents in Dana? Its not only about the rain it's about the gusts oh 115mph winds that have caused a majority of the damage
the morning after.....spared from losing power, damage, but looking at what happened in Atlantic City and New York...wow...hoping anyone in that war path is okay!!!!
the crane was actually atop a 1.5 billion high rise being built and was bent backwards. firefighters climbed the 74 stories to make sure that it would be ok for the time being.
i hope everyone is safe! watching the pictures with the water just pouring in remind me of allison in 2001
It is far from over yet. This thing has morphed into one huge storm and is bringing in bitter cold behind it. Folks in western Va.,WV,Ky and Ohio are getting hammered by snow and it is pushing up huge waves on the great lakes. They say it will be Thursday till it clears out up here.
The storm hit with heavy rains
The wind speed around about 30mph.
Had some flooding in the basement.
The snow stayed south in West Virginia which at this time they are still digging out.
Third day without power. It'll be like a week before we get power again. We're freezing at the moment but we have a fire going. Hoboken is flooded and I doubt I'm going to school anytime soon. We have to keep leaving to get food. Running low on gas apparently, gas stations around my town of Sparta. Big tree collapsed in my front yard, friend's back yard nearly obliterated for her. We're in the Stone Age here people.
