Totally jealous. I've always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise.

And it has nothing to do w/ the fact that men outnumber women like 2 to 1 in Alaska. :ninja

Oh my husband is from Seattle and we've been a few times. Beautiful place. We're taking a cruise next year for our 5 year anny and our choices are down to Alaska or Caribbean. Please let us know how it goes!!!

The Alaska ones are really fairly inexpensive! $400-500ish a person for like 5-7 days. Then calculate in the airfare to the port if you don't live close enough to drive, drinking money, (food is included in a cruise), and spending money. Pretty good deal for a week long vacay.

ya that sounds good, it would cost me alot on top of the cruise fee... airfare unless i could leave from Houston. then i would have to find someplace to keep my cat and 2 dogs and make sure the fish are fed as well... then calculate the loss of money from my job. my PTO blows, it's minimum wage.

Yup, loss of work money is always a killer for me too. My husband gets great PTO, I do not. I get some days, but those always get eaten up by kid's sicknesses and such. Vacays almost always have to fall under unpaid time off :(

Where, when ?

I live in the Port City and have yet to find any that cheap.. :eek I can leave anytime for a week so if I get wind of such a deal, I'm outta here.. :mwaha

We're looking in that range, and we can leave from Florida (which we can drive to) to the Caribbean, or from Seattle (would have to buy flights, but could also sneak in family time) to the Alaska cruise. I've been looking at lines like Princess and such.

I suddenly feel very fortunate for the way my leave works. Granted, I'm almost out of vacation leave (I took a lot of time off this year and donated some to V as well), but I have almost 800 sick hours still.
