thinking about going to Europe....

Well, next year is coming soon and a Christmas present to my wife might be a trip to somewhere in Europe (Italy)but am asking if anyone has been anywhere else that in the European community. I always wanted to go to see Rome, Florence, etc. but am open to other places....thanks in advance!

Well I loved ROME PJ so, definitely go to Rome, that's the one that truly knocked my socks off and I want to see again. Me, the one I want to go to that I haven't is Germany, so go there and let me live vicariously thru you!

I've been to France, Belgium, England, and spent 2 weeks going all over Italy. Italy was def. my favorite. Other than the common favs, Naples was amazing as was the Isle of Capri.

DUH! of Course I would love to go see England again....once the Olympic mystique is gone maybe the GBP and the price of petrol will go down as well

PJ, I don't like to ask other people who have been somewhere such as Europe what they thought of the area they visited. The reason is that just because they did or didn't like it there doesn't mean you will agree with them once you've visited there yourself.

I lived in Sicilly, and have been to Germany. I loved the ruins in Agrigento. Also walking up Mount Etna. What I remember anyway, I was very young...
