At least once a month I get a message on my Facebook from our training officer saying "I love you, I really really do, but I *hate* when you work!!!" The bad calls, the cluster fucks, the "what else can happen" nights ALWAYS happen under my command or, at the very least, when I'm in on overtime.

Here's an example. My first night EVER working EMS by myself, we had a traffic accident where 5 people were killed. My first night working a police department radio by myself, my officers had to shoot someone.
