I saw the story the other day and thought about you and your son, Fred. Always a shame when people do their talking w/ a weapon when it's not justified.

If a couple of division 1 college football players are putting a beat down on you, not sure when using a weapon wouldn't be justified if you didn't start it.

Without knowing ALL the facts, there is a possibility that SOME of the guys who got shot shouldn't of put themselves in that situation to begin with. Not saying who is right or wrong, just saying that perhaps if they didn't start throwing punches and start using bottles as clubs, the shooting may not of occurred.

From what I understand the punches thrown did not involve football players present or no longer on the team. I have learned the shooter is about 5'-4" so maybe that is the reason for packing.

Fred, some reason I think that is the "fan" in you talking.

For myself, it really wouldn't matter if any of the players who started throwing the first punches were on the team or not.

Given the history of the culprit, my own assumption (and I could be very wrong) is he went to talk with the girl and things got loud. Couple of football players got involved which escalated the situation, particularly AFTER punches were first thrown by the football players.

My only point is if the football players would of remained cool, perhaps none of this would of happened.

It'd have to be pretty severe to justify gunning down 6 people, IMO. And trust me...this is NOT the fan in me talking as Fred can attest to the fact that there are few rivalries more brutal than the Georgia/Auburn rivalry, LMFAO

You have a couple of BIG football division 1 dudes doing a beat down on this guys butt, I could see him emptying the mag. Not saying it's right or wrong, but when you can have 4 TRAINED LEO's empty their mags aimed at ONE individual and only hit him 20 times out 60 rounds, I can see this one untrained guy getting some unintended victims.

Lets say I don't think this guys actions were premeditated.

Just going by what was reported the first player killed was trying restrain someone else from getting involved in a fight.

My only point it that it may not of been a tragic incident if someone decided not throw punches.
