There aren't a ton of things that would send me running the opposite direction, but a grizzly is on that list. Fuck that.

I would not even be out in their habitat without a big magnum on my side as well as spray. Great pics but not anything I would have stopped to take.

ok....one day i'll go to africa on safari, and as is the norm i'll get way too close...but then with most african predators running sets off their prey drive instinct so you stay calm.....but a grizzleys another kettle of fish,he wakes from hibernation and everythings on the menu, including us.i'd stay well clear of this one

Same, on my way to my Jeep. Not standing there taking additional photos like a lunatic. :24:

If the bear is 50 yards from you and you have to run 100 yards to your jeep, you do realize you don't stand a chance if you decide to run?:D That is unless you can outrun whoever is with you, but then again, if that person plays it smart, they'll stay still while you run:24: Only other option I see if you're with someone is pulling a Shane on them;)

Yes, but we don't have to run the fastest...just faster than the slowest. :D

If you and I were facing a bear looking directly at us some yards off, I say "ready to run for it? 1...2...3...GO!" and I would stay perfectly still and play the odds that YOU might get the bears attention and focus on you:D

To put it in perspective, a healthy full size grizzly can cover 100 yards in less than 8 seconds no problem. Make matters worse, that's not on a track, but in the natural environment.
