More TV stations than ever before.....

and less worth watching than ever. I have no interest in the kardashians, the housewives of God knows where, swamp people, river people, watching people play poker, the apprentice, survivor, great race, Lost interest in American Idle (lol) , Dancing with who? Are you really dumber than a 5th grader? So much of what is suppose to be entertainment is anything but. I suppose that is why I spend so much time here. At least there is interaction and entertainment.

It's like when they expand a sport.. They dilute the players so much that teams all seem so amateur that nobody seems "pro" for a while..

I hate it also but usually pick one show to watch and stick with it for a while..

I think reality TV is a goldmine for the stations. They pay squat to people to act like fools. They don't have to have writers and they are not paying high priced actors to perform. They just rake in the ad revenues & smile all the way to the bank.

The only reality TV I really watch is Amazing Race and it's only to see the countries and culture. Along with Big Bang Theory it's one of the few shows I watch..

I just got Netflix and it sucks up here.. I use it on my Tablet and it barely has any of the shows you have in the US..

I had Netflix.. Jim and I went through it watched what we wanted and killed it.. I want to turn the cable back to just basic and everyone in the house complains.

Reality TV sucks balls. I like comedy channels like Dave and E4, and the music channels. Other than that, I rarely watch TV these days.

I could not agree more with this thread, finally someone who thinks the same as me! I can't help but feel that everything on TV nowadays is just mindless, dumb entertainment for the masses. They all have the same format; a panel of judges, auditions with a stage of people who get through to "boot camp" and then they have a public phone-in voting system. It's all rubbish, and probably why I spend so much time on the internet too.

Although when I do watch the box I usually stick to Discovery Turbo, which shows nothing but car-related stuff like Wheeler Dealers, The Garage, Fifth Gear, Chasing Classic Cars... /geek

and some I think are outright lies on what they depict

sorry but being on a crab boat for over 24 hours and then getting a couple hours rest and starting over I aint buying. although I like the show

the ones gold digging make no sense dollar wise. all that time searching and the fuel spent and abuse on the equipment I aint buying.

I still watch some of those.

The bullshit like the Kardashians is nothing I ever watch. Same with the bachelor
