Sure :D

A few facts:
- A green card is not really green... it is PINK!
- If you see one that has this spiffy reflective/copper/mirror/metallic band across the back, it means that person has re-applied as a resident of the US
- The government expects you to know your A-number by heart, though most people dont know it...
- The requirements to your "papers" picture are quite a pain in the ass, people often have to resubmit and reschedule appointments because their picture isnt "perfect".
- Contrary to popular belief becoming a citizen is NOT easy, nor is it cheap - and it shouldnt be but the risks and requirements can sometimes be overwhelming to some...

The only fact I knew was the first one, my Dad is from Canada, and still has a "green" card. :tooth

Is it try your kind hate white people

As far as cultural hatred? No if you ask most Mexicans, we embrace the culture...
At least in Monterrey, it was highly encouraged to learn English, not because at some point you were to come live here, but more along the lines of recognizing the fact that the USA is a powerhouse in economy and technology (well... at the time lol)

Much like most people here suggest that learning chinese, arabic or german are good things to have in your language repertoire... knowing the english language made a more valuable asset to an expanding Mexican business.

How did your family feel about you marrying a white woman?

Is a brown person white or black? :24:

Why is Mexican food so good? :D

My mom did not like Staci at the start... but then again i am the youngest male in the family so in essence and in good ol mexican fashion, I probably would never be able to find a woman good enough for me in my mothers eyes... but it wasnt like it was her choice to make LOL

I have never had a significant other outside of white women, having an over bearing latin mother will do nothing but make you avoid latin women like the plague LOL

Technically speaking: Brown = Hispanic - specifically, the term "brown person" refers to a Mexican person. Is it correct? im not sure... i think im whiter than Staci when it comes to skin tone LOL

Why is Mexican food so good?
Generally, Mexican cooking isn't bland, the spices and the way Mexican cooking is, doesn't lend itself to bother with limitations and paranoia that is brought on by the healthcare industry here in the US. There has been a recent push by health authorities in Mexico to cook healthier, and being careful about what they eat, however centuries of traditions are not easily broken, so while the effort is in good hopes, it will be a long time before the idea catches on.

Basically, the food is good because it isnt that good for you unless you are used to eating it often... this is why that bean burrito gives you gringos the grin-goes boom to y'all butt :D

Ever fight over the worm in the bottom of the bottle of tequila?
Do you speak English when out with your family?

Technically i never got drunk until i was in the US LOL and the one time i cleaned off a bottle of tequila it was no contest as the friend i was with at the time decided it was time to take go to bed on the table LOL

yes, she passed out on her kitchen table after projectile vomiting at another friend of ours

- I speak to my girls in Spanish sometimes - mainly when i am goofing around with them or to get their attention.
- Staci only talks to me in Spanish when she is drunk LOL she speaks that Puerto Rican Spanish and it makes me want to smack her upside the head LOL
- With my brother - i speak English, we both work in the same building and within the same department so.. yeah English most of the time
- With mom or other family members - it is a good mix of English and Spanish, but mainly Spanish

Haha I think this is true for my bf as well. I imitated Sofia Vergara's voice and he definitely got an eye twitch going. Such beauty, such a pain in the ass :24:

I always get confused and then feel white guilt for being confused about ethnic identifiers and race lol. There are white latinos and black latinos...but...what about everyone else :p

Why do mexicans have cheap metal "fish tails" usually in a different color than the car, hanging off the trunk of a honda, usually sticking 4' in the air?

What's the deal with the big butt pic of Jesus or the Virgin Mary on the back window?

What's the scoop with those low riding 2 wheel drive s-10's with flat tires?

Car wings: I don't know man, the fad caught on when i was out of there... I could generally assume the love to accessorize a car is there, sometimes a little too far, but it is really no different that the high school kid (be it white, Hispanic, black or white) that has a Honda now days.

The back window or tailgate mural: That is not a Mexican thing, that is something that was started by Chicano people - Chicano folks are second generation Americans from Hispanic parents from the southern California part of the country.

I am guessing you are making a reference to Low rider vehicles? if so these are trends started by Chicano people (see above reference lol)
Wikipedia describes low riders as 30's - 60's model vehicles modified to drive as low to the ground as possible... while true it isn't only restricted to older vehicles.

Sure beauty is in the eye of the beholder - so while you may think it is the ugliest piece of shit around, the owner may think his car is awesome and the best thing on 4 wheels... LOL

Tequila is bad stuff when it comes to making the drinker sick. I will drink a few margarittas occasionally but not a tequila fan. The question about the talking to family was because we have a great many Hispanics here who never speak English and will act like they don't understand it even when they do. Bilingual families I totally understand.

I heard Cinco de Mayo isn't even celebrated in Mexico, that it's a holiday pretty much cooked up by American Beer companies to sell more beer. :dunno

Wrong

Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the battle of Puebla where the Mexican army pulled an unlikely victory over the french army.
It is one of the most widely celebrated holidays in Mexico granted it is no independence day but it is celebrated and observed throughout most of the country - I dont know where some people think it isn't lol i mean the leader of the Mexican army at the time was Ignacio Zaragoza who is a popular figure in Mexican history hell the fucker got his face on more than a few iterations of Mexican currency LOL

and no... it is not the Mexican independence day either
LOL

Cinco de mayo was the date of a battle for the old Mexican empire I think. Can't remember who they beat. Spain maybe. Spain suck.

Should tortilla's be made out of wheat, flour, or maize?

It was the French army :D

and tortillas are made of Maize
Gorditas are made of flour
you gringos make the wheat ones...

tequila... the white mans kryptonite of alcohol LOL

the bad thing about it is that after the first few shots most people get valiant and start trying to polish off the whole bottle LOL
