NHL Playoffs 2012

I'm still blown away by the two shorthanded goals given up... y'all are really hurting without Daniel Sedin.

One man doesn't make a team..

Our defence is banged up from stopping pucks to the net in game one from stupid penalties. Two over the glass to be 5-3 twice.. One guy hurt his hand.. Not sure if anyone else is playing hurt as I did not see the game at all last night..

That being said, as any fan I expect them to kick it up a notch in LA.. No home pressure.. Being 2-0 is not the end of the world but if they lose game 3 it will be real tough..

Mind you it was Boston who was down 3-0 to Montreal last year and came back to win the series.. Never over till it's over..

I think I heard something in game one about LA being the highest team with shorthanded goals..

Canucks need to work on scoring when they have the advantage and stop those goals shorthanded..

Rumor is Schneider might be in goal for the first game in LA..

Sedin's last hour update is that he is only out the next two games.. I really think they should just worry about each game and play.. I realize he was our highest scorer but others can score as well.. Where is Burrows, Kessler and the other Sedin ? what about LaPierre..

No, one guy doesn't make a team... but he was your top PP goal scorer. With a goalie like Quick in net for the Kings, you need to make the most of all of your PP chances, and it's tough to do that without 25 PP points (10 goals 15 assists). PP miscues are what led to those shorthanded opportunities and goals for the Kings, and the Kings had 9 shorthanded goals during the regular season, they're going to look to take advantage.

This is obviously just all conjecture on my part from what I've seen in your two games so far.

They were apparently the top scoring team in the West on SHGs.

I'm so damn pissed off right now... because the Rangers/Senators game went to OT, that's what NBC Sports is showing. Meanwhile, Sharks/Blues is on CNBC, NHL Network, and my local Comcast Sports station.

Fuck this shit.

Speaking of bad officiating... we lucked out with an interference call that went against Toews, and we came out with a PP goal.

Up 2-1 heading into the second. :D This is the best I've seen our offense look in a long time... really good sustained pressure. It could very easily be 4-1 or 5-1 right now if not for some bad bounces and good saves.

5.5 goddamn motherfucking seconds left and we allow the game tying goal.
