Do you really think States should legislate trolling and swearing on the internet. Well seems Arizona has.. Don't question it, just live by the laws..

It is unlawful for any person, with intent to terrify, intimidate, threaten, harass, annoy or offend, to use ANY ELECTRONIC OR DIGITAL DEVICE and use any obscene, lewd or profane language or suggest any lewd or lascivious act, or threaten to inflict physical harm to the person or property of any person.

And the part that worries most people in the act..

Despite its good intentions, the Arizona law is already being called "overly broad" by critics. By using vague terms like "annoy" and "offend," it could easily encompass Internet forums or even comments like the ones found at the end of this story.

Yeah this will work... Not....

Here's a better system. Why don't sites like Youtube, and News sites have filters in place or site moderators who remove comments deemed inapropriate. Site's like Youtube get comments that are down right racist in nature.

I saw that earlier. Do not want to live in this state anymore.

I already hated this state enough. This just sealed the deal for me.

The encroachment on 1st amendment rights is too broad and sweeping for this to go anywhere.

If you post comments on forums or on newspaper blogs, you have to have a thick skin. While you'll often get positive feedback or appropriate constructive critism, you also get insults and then some.

Filter as in censor? I don't think so. Who is to deem them inappropriate? Think 1st Amendment rights.

oh my I've been slandered to death
what will people think of me
I could give a rats ace
I would pic my nose in front of the president
and scratch my ace on public television
makes me not below or above anyone else

Arizona The Weak Skinned State
sounds like a good slogan or licence plate

AZ is not a weak skinned state. The government as a whole is just starting to think they can regulate everything. Most of AZ is pretty pissed about this.

I'm against cyber-bullying, or any bullying really, as much as the next person. Doesn't mean I think the internet needs to be policed so we don't hurt someone's feelings.
