And when i say tube top, im not talking about the bandeau (sp?) typs ones that just cover your boobs. Im talking about the whole shirt type ones

Sounds to me like some of you are way to worried about what others think of you. I mean I do think there are some things that people shouldnt wear because they just dont look good, and honestly believe that there should be size limits on certian clothing and people should abide by that, trying to squeeze yourself into a pair of leggings that shows panty lines is just crazy whether you weigh 100 or 400 pounds. But on the same note my feeling is who do I have to impress really? I do care what my hubby thinks and if he says youre not going to wear that out are you if Im dressed like a slob, I will change but as far as general peeps Im not lookin to pick up a man so I feel if I wanna run to the store quick in pj pants who cares. If I did it all the time I could see it being more of an issue of personal respect for myself, but wouldnt not do it just because someone else thinks its sloppy.

I'm sure the woman who is 400lbs and wants to wear leggings with panty lines can say the same, she may just not give a fuck that people don't think it looks good.

If we all just had a "who cares what people think" attitude, the world would be a scary place, LOL... I think it's important to respect society's boundaries in terms of how tight your clothes are, how revealing, etc.

Eh, could you imagine how boring the world would be if everyone dressed appropriately?
People of Walmart would have never happened! :24:

We need bad clothing choices to keep the world a funny place.

Yes but if we ALL did it, it wouldn't be that exceptional, lol... you need the majority to dress appropriately, and then some outliers who we all can laugh at...

I don't think a lot of people are secretly dying to look like a stuffed sausage in public- it all works out ok imo

I wore them when I was a teenager, though mainly the kind that covered the stomach than the itsy-bitsy kind. However, I now can't even if I want to - my breasts are too big. Either the top is too flimsy and slips down throughout the day, or it's too tight and squashes my tits into my chest to hold itself up, which just looks weird.

Personally it matters more to me what I think than what others think. I take pride in how I look, and I want to feel good when I leave the house. I don't always dress to the 9's (everyone needs their jeans and t-shirt days), but it's important to me to not look like a slob who just got out of bed, ever, when I leave my home. It really has nothing to do about what others think.

This is how I feel, I believe this has always been why I wear makeup and try my best to look together. I don't have high self esteem, but I stopped caring how others viewed my appearance. I think it's because I'm no longer dating, so the only people who need to like how I look are myself and my boyfriend.

9/10 I will be found in jeans and a hoody, trainers of some sort, no make up and my hair tied up. I vary sometimes to leggings and longer tunic tops but only on occasion, like when my jeans need washed :24:

Think what you like but I am all about the comfort.

And yes, I care how I look. I brush my hair, I wash my face, clean my teeth, my clothes are always clean, I put deodorant on... I'm just all about the comfort.

This is what I was thinking as well :) it's not so much about other people as it is how I feel about myself, and I always feel that little bit more positive if I know I look decent, rather than like I rolled out of bed and directly out the door.

Exactly... I personally never want to feel like I look like a slob when I leave my apartment. I take pride in how I dress. It may not be perfect or what somebody else would wear but it's what I like and think I look good in. I cannot understand those who just go out like they just rolled out of bed. First impressions are EVERYTHING. Because whether you like it or not society is judgmental. You can use the well they might not have the money excuse but organizations like Goodwill/Salvation Army sell decent clothing. I know I've donated to both :p
