*grabs BF* he is, to the point of being pompous about it. He'll throw out fallacies and theories at random.

What theory would you like to talk about?

Haha I was just wondering because a friend asked me to join his site and help him get it running and I wasn't sure if it's a widely known topic.

Dear mods, I am not advertising my site. Just curious

Gotcha lol. Well personally, I enjoy talking about philosophy. I don't know any of the theories, but I like learning.

It takes light half a second, literally, to register an image in our brain of the outside world.
If light entered at just .001 microseconds faster, the time frame would become linear and a person would be able to 'see' the future, or it would apear that way to others.

This is sorta like time travel, right?

Well, ish. It doesn't sound particularly useful though, in that sort of timeframe. What can you do with a second's worth of precognition?

Dodge a bullet, perhaps.

It's not just in that second, though. It's linear. I imagine we could do quite a bit with that, though dodging a bullet seems a bit much. lol
Just a goofy thought, is all.

Even if your brain could process an image at .001 microseconds faster, that's not going to be enough time to react to something that is traveling upwards of 900 feet per second. It's also been shown that if our brains processed imagery even a little faster than it does it would cause a "ghosting" type of effect, almost like images would remain over-exposed in our brains for too long, and Psychologists have concluded that could damage the psyche.

The world of psychology is weird so no telling if that is true, or hokum.

I love philosophical discussions/debates. I am not too knowledgeable (but am to some degree) about the subject in a very wide scope. But it definitely interests me and I love learning more and more about it.
