statistically more women cheat than men.... and read his whole post.. she knew the deal... and couldn't make it a month without cheating...
The only thing I could find repeatedly was " Recent studies reveal that 45-55% of married women and 50-60% of married men engage in extramarital sex" Not one single link cited a single one of these "recent studies".

Back to the actual subject at hand, I've decided to move to New York City. That's one place I have not had much real experience with, a short time a few years ago but nothing like being in the grit of it.

I'll be leaving for NYC tomorrow around 10 in the morning. When I get there, I'll be sure to say hi to you guys.

You have to do what's best for you.

There was not much to be said as it seemed the choices were already made in the OP..

Well good luck with the move and all.. Drop us a line and let us know how it's going..

Is it just me or shouldn't you be able to tell if someone is cheating on you ? Things must have been different and changed in some way. My wife is my best friend. If something was up then she would tell me or I could see it on her face. I just don't understand it. Did you guys fight alot. Get married before you knew each other ? Fucked up shit right there.

I can see getting away with it once MAYBE twice. Seven times. That woman must have slept well at night. It would eat me alive.

Here we go with this age old complaint...

Yes, I do have kids. I assume and am probably correct in saying that your next statement will be "well what about the kids?!!?!!!!!?111zomg". Let me save you the keystrokes.

In my state, in the event of a marriage failure, whomever has physical custody of the children at the time of the split is automatically granted, without going to court, temporary custody of the children until such time as a divorce is filed, a preliminary hearing can be held, and temporary custody can be given with the backing of the legal system to the person who already has custody of the kids. Then, at the final hearing, the children will again be awarded to whomever had temporary custody. In the history of the state's family law circus, I mean circuit, it has never, ever happened that the person with temporary custody at the time of the split was not also the person granted temporary custody during the divorce, and it's also never happened, ever, that the person with temporary custody was not given custody at the final hearing.

It's also interesting to know that statistically, the woman has been given custody of the children more than 98% of the time in the event of a marriage failure... even if she is the reason why the marriage has dissolved. Essentially, in my state if you wish to do anything you want as a married woman, not only will you get away with it, you will get rewarded for it by getting the kids, which means you probably need the house so you will get it, and you'll need money so he has to pay you alimony (if you have been married longer than ten years) and/or child support for the children you had with him and he was so happy about. Also, adultery is not a crime in my state, and there is absolutely no penalty for it. It cannot even be considered during the divorce in such matters as property division, child custody, or anything, anything at all. It can be filed that it is why you are divorcing, but it cannot be considered in any way that could affect the outcome of the case.

So, the chick gets married, has a kid or more, and then starts fucking around. What happens to her is that she gets most of the property afterwards because she will need it to raise the kids that she will have custody of, she'll get paid child support/alimony even though she is the reason why the marriage is over, the kids do not get to see their father as much as before she fucked up and he did nothing wrong, and so the kids and the father are punished for the wrongdoings of the mother, who made out like a bandit for doing it.

So... save your breath with the "don't you have kids?!?!?!" crap. I already understand, you evidently didn't, and it's not like I did not consider that already. Thanks, though, for bringing that gloomy thought right back to the surface for me, I appreciate it so much. I know, you were just trying to make yourself look good by pretending to be a caring, thoughtful, hater of all men who just by golly turn their back on their kids.

You remember something... she fucked around on me, and the kids and I are going to suffer for it. I really wish those who have no real clue of what they are doing other than to try and start drama on the guise of being a good, concerned person would just stay silent.

On a side note I know everyone lies. Come on give me a break. It is different if your dating someone and they cheat on you. If you can't tell that your husband or wife is cheating then you should be married to begin with. Period.

Golly, guys, I guess I am just a bad bad guy for her cheating on me and me working my balls off all over the US to pay for it.

No, we didn't marry before we knew each other. We met each other in 1995. We have tons of kids... you can't do that "before you knew each other".

Stop trying to make me the villain.

And if you literally work from coast to coast about twenty times a year and are just not home in order to find out, see their face, something of that nature?

Get off my back, redliner. Get off my back.

Of course you don't believe it, Panacea. You didn't get your butt kissed by my response. That's the standard grounds for saying "liar!" on the internet, not having your own standard crap validated.

When I read this post I thought you were trolling, had nothing to do with your response just now

Or legitimately joking for a laugh, not even a malicious intent
But then everyone took it seriously so it was confusing lol.

Yeah but to be fair in this case, her husband was working away from home regularly. It's got to be far easier to get away with it in that sort of situation than if you were both coming back to the same home every night. Can't blame the guy for not noticing in that case.

Yeah throw in the towel on being a father. Decide within a few days to skip town. IMO sounds like you just quit on your kid. Just my 2 cents since your sharing this information on a public forum for anyone to comment on.

staying with his wife for the sole purpose if the kids would be a MAJOR disservice to not only him but to the kids as well, it would most likely foster an atmosphere of anger and yelling and fights and that is damaging to the children. It's best that he leave honestly.
