Is being a single mother a type/cause of child abuse?

In Wisconsin, a state senator has introduced a bill aimed at penalizing single mothers by calling their unmarried status a contributing factor in child abuse and neglect.

This is definitely true! Hell my kids are complimented all the time when being compared to kids from married families. It makes me proud, but oh man does it annoy me reading stuff like this because it shows people are too close minded to believe one person can actually do better than two a lot of times.
