V-day flowers

My wife gets flowers all year long at different times. We have an agreement no flowers on V-day. The florist jack up the prices and make it a rip-off.

:homo: The missus isn't really into roses. Lillies are her favourite and I usually get her them.

I'd be thrilled to receive roses or any flowers esp carnations. I love the latter esp for it's scent. I just don't like the typical pink or red roses. I want rare colors (blue, peach, purple etc)

But of course any flower works as it's the thought that counts

I really love roses, I think they're beautiful and I love the scent. I don't much like red, though. Yellow, pink, purple, white, peach, etc... and it sucks how much they cost. I truly don't think it's worth it to blow too much money on them.

A friend on facebook posted what she did for V-day...I was so jealous lol.

"Had an amazing day [husband] completely spoiled me! He took me to see the vow which we both loved great movie. Then we walked around partridge [outdoor mall] with hot chocolates went and had pedicures meanwhile they brought me out a card and sparkly roses all followed by dinner at andiamos [fancy restaurant] :-D"

Aside from the shiteous movie, that would be blowie material for sure. Good job, guy.

I enjoy roses and pretty much any other kind of flower except carnations. My favorites are tiger lillies.

I'm guessing I won't get any flowers this year. He may surprise me, but I'm doubtful.

For 30 years, my father has been under the impression my Master Gardener mother loves carnations. He gets them for her constantly. She just likes flowers, I think, but she probably can't stand those things by now lol.

I won't get flowers either, I got a book and a stuffed animal two years in a row

I have to disagree! Not every woman wants something for V-day. I personally would rather flowers or anything else any other time except for V-day. My boyfriend surprises me with something random every month because he wants to not because he feels he has to.

we aren't all lying skeeving women with tricks up our sleeves.

I truly don't enjoy the commercialism of the holiday, and prefer the thought behind randomly giving flowers just because instead of because of the day.

And I am not into roses at all. I adore lilies. and daisies. mostly lilies though. they're my favorite.
