Why does it always come down to women and respect issues? If you're a grown adult and you both have a mutual understanding of said situation there should be no degradation. The only thing that I dislike is being told we're just sexing and obviously something develops and neither one is being 100% truthful about it. Like they're afraid. Human beings have needs.

Unless sex is from a drunken one night stand where it's hard to remember what happened the night before, people being people, someone runs a good chance of being hurt emotionally.

The only proper FWB I had ended in a relationship, and I was only in the FWB in the first place because I actually wanted to be with the guy properly and I thought I could convince him (which I did, eventually).


In retrospect it was stupid though, it would have been better for me if he'd just ended it the first time I told him I wanted more. There were at least three other guys I didn't have sex with because I was holding out for that jerk.

To me, I'd assume most people (men and women) are prone to developing feelings in sexual relationships because it's the 'norm' in our society to date/fuck people at the same time.

Even if no strings attached sex makes sense in your mind, eventually one or both of these people is likely to find a string lol. It's just what most of us are socialized to do.

:homo: Love and sex are two seperate things which most of us need. Not trying to be sexist but I think in general more women than men have trouble seperating the two. Women equate love with sex more than men and even a fuck buddy situation which has been made clear from the beginning is more likely to run into trouble when the woman falls in love with the man (I'm not saying it dosen't happen the other way round either). It's a bit like trying to be a casual crackhead, very unlikely to work.

Men through studies and human anatomical functioning esp brain-wiring are capable of separating their emotions when having sex. Women on the other hand are different as emotions play a part when having sex hence most develop or have feelings/fondness for the guy when they enter into FWB. However, it had become a fad nowadays so i guess women have learned to separate their emotions *shrugs* Gotta look into newer studies if there are any...
