A dead body is a dead body, be it human or animal. War is war. I'm not trying to make excuses, but I find it oh so funny that some comments were made on the national level that this act was "inhuman".

I think that's what everyone wants to know. If we saw everything our guys did on video many Americans would piss themselves. But then maybe we would begin to see the insanity of war for what it is. How fucked up is it that the richest country on the planet is sending 18 year old kids off to kill Afghan peasants? If anybody thinks the U.S. government is really worried about these peasants saddling up and terrorizing us, they are sadly misguided. Follow the money - it always leads to the true motivation behind any military action.

Okay, so we give them a break on the pissing on corpses because they are young kids, and trained killers, sent to the asshole of the world. Right?

What else should we cut them a break on? Rape? Torture? How about if they violate the Geneva Conventions or further articles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice?

At what point do we stop saying the aforementioned, and we start holding them accountable for their actions?

We didn't put a draft into effect, John, and these "kids" knew what they were signing up for. Nobody tricked them into thinking they would not go to combat, ESPECIALLY considering they joined during a time that we are engaged in armed conflict.

It's a given that ANY soldier can loose his humanity during war, and for some, it's the only way to stay alive.

I don't think these soldiers are ever going to be officers.......

I don't think it's a court marshable (if that's a word) offense. They should be made to apologize, there should be a blot of their record, they probably won't go far in the service, but I don't think they should be drawn and quartered......
