Havent booked any rooms yet! BUT if you're picking up the tab I am MORE than happy to book one for you too
The Holiday Inn on 57th was okay. The heater was broken, though, and wouldn't turn off. So we had to open the windows a little bit, LOL Although the rooms are much smaller at the Econolodge on 47th, it's much closer to the parts of NYC you'll probably want to be near. I'd recommend it over the Holiday Inn. It's also right across from this little pizza place called Carve that I literally walked 24 city blocks just to get to just b/c I remembered how good their pizza was.

Thanks for this, it's always good to know in case we go back but today we actually booked a beautiful apartment for the week we are there. Super excited

Nope never been but it has been a dream of mine for SO long! I am stupidly excited and it is sooooo far away! Yes we are in Manhattan, Lower East side. Lots of nice restaurants and bars around where we will be

We have been looking at restaurants and things and I have been blown away at how cheap things are! So many NICE looking places with all you can eat or 2hour open bar! oh yes oh yes I can't wait!
Oooh, if you like Italian food there's a place called Carmines on, I wanna say, like 42nd or 44th or something like that. We ordered the chicken parmesan (I think it was like $22) and then the pasta to go w/ it is $10. It's "family style"...there were 4 frigging chicken breasts on the plate!!! :24: Really good.

Oh wow it sounds like eating that would be a lot of work! This is a good example of why I could never live in the US, I'd get way too fat...if there is food on my plate, it must be finished!

LMFAO...yeah, that would NOT be good. We took half of it back to the hotel room (and this was even during my fat kid days!!!).
