Oh Fuck Moments

I had one of these this morning.

Came downstairs and found I'd left the oven switched on all night.

All night!

Luckily, our entire house is completely electric. Still :ninja

I did that a couple of weeks ago, which was about two weeks after I left a burner on my stove on all night.

6:45am - okay, I'll get up soon.

7:00am - five more minutes...

7:15am - definitely getting up this time

7:30am - I'll still be on time if I get up now and hurry...

7:45am - this time I'm up for sure, have to be out the door in 15 minutes...

8:00am - oh, fuck

I've never left one on all night, but I have a curious case of burner blindness, and am constantly turning on the wrong one, wondering why the one I want isn't getting hot and simultaneously not noticing that I've left the grill from the oven on top of the now very hot incorrect burner so that it heats up and starts smoking....


Why am I even allowed in my own kitchen?

I frequently turn the wrong cooker on, want the front left ring on so turn on the front right. Takes me til its warm and smells of burning to realise too!

Also, I once tried to cook pasta and forgot to turn the cooker on at all. Lol.

I just sleep through my alarm. Much easier.

May I ask what the point in setting an alarm is then?!

I have only ever slept through my alarm once and weirdly dreamt that my phone was vibrating when in fact it was my alarm going off.

That's happened to me too, the vibrator going off during the night in my goody drawer. Suddenly I dreaming about trying to escape from criminals in a motorboat and looking back frantically, suddenly my hubby sits up and says what's that buzzing noise. I wake up, the cats and dogs looking at my goody drawer attentively. Oops.......

That's happened to me too, the vibrator going off during the night in my goody drawer. Suddenly I dreaming about trying to escape from criminals in a motorboat and looking back frantically, suddenly my hubby sits up and says what's that buzzing noise. I wake up, the cats and dogs looking at my goody drawer attentively. Oops.......

I once left a hotel with my bags, and mine got tripped by something...we were talking to the housekeeper and it was buzzing away...

Another time, my boyfriend and I were...umm...at a hotel when we first met and the door opened. The housekeeper walked in and I screamed my head off and hid under my blanket for a good thirty minutes after in terror. He loves that story to this day, I think he was proud to get caught.

that's going to be a memory that is etched in the brain...wow...housekeeping doesn't knock? talk about being rude....lol

LOL they do seem to enjoy getting caught don't they?! My ex and I shared a house with three other people, and we got caught once when this guy took 'don't come in!' for 'please open the door!' I was on top, facing the door, legs wide open.... and he was wearing a bright red novelty condom because it was the only one we could find *facepalm*

I was mortified, my ex thought it was hilarious.
