when our house was oil heated we had one on our bed which was great! We'd turn it on a half hour before bed to warm everything. It was the nicest thing to crawl into a warm bed. It was the kind that covers your mattress and then you put your sheets over top.

My son has on on his bed as he really loves a warm bed.

They aren't the fire hazards like they used to be, so don't be afraid to use one, and they don't get hot enough to hurt you either.

We have the same thing. It's a pad that goes under the sheets.

We turn it on just before we go to bed and hit the preheat button which will preheat the sheets and blankets for you. Once I climb in bed, I turn my side off and the wife keeps her side on low (it goes from low which is 1 to High which is 10)

This one uses low voltage so it can't cause a fire and it has sensors in it that adjust the temp constantly so it never gets hot.

I have one which I use mostly after nightshift in the winter cos its so fricking cold. I turn it on for about 10 - 15 mins before I go to bed then switch it off when I get in. I get too hot at night to use it but in the day I am always cold when I am in bed.

Sunbeam. It was for a King size bed and wasn't cheap.

I think it was $149 for the dual control pad. But you can get it cheap at JC Penny when they go on sale (mine was 50% off)

When you use the blanket, you can turn your heat down at night and save a few hundred each season.

I really want an electric blanket. The hubs keeps the house way too cold.

I could have used one at work today. The heat wasn't working so my classroom was freezing. Hopefully it will be working by the time the kids return tomorrow.

I have a heated throw also. Matter of fact it is time to bring it out of moth balls. I am freezing my butt off.

Sold my water bed tonite to I gotta go mattress shopping tomorrow or the next day.

Gonna be fun trying to get all the water drained to where it is movable.

Anybody have a sleep comfort bed? I am tempted but if the darn thing leaks I would be screwed if the company went out of business. Where if I get a good standard mattress I would be set for life at my age.

My sheets are never cold so I've never even thought of that.
Great idea though if I ever run into that problem.

we have one of those memory foam beds with a memory foam topper :D OMG is it comfy.

Whenever we go to a hotel, we can't wait until we get home to our bed. And since it's not air filled and it doesn't have springs/coils, it will never go bad. As long as you keep it well covered with a protector that is so it doesn't ever get dirty

Oh I would love to lure your wife away but I got no chance at my age. :p

Next time you change the sheets take a look. I am interested. I have a hide a bed to sleep on for the short term but want to get something. I have heard of the memory foam type.
