The problem with resolutions is that they can be started anytime of the year..

If you really mean what you say here and fall off the wagon, start over in a month.. Who cares right, well it should be you..

The point is to make your life better from what you think you lack or do in excess..

Reminds me of those people who get those nice new gym passes at the beginning of the new year only to stop going a month in. They actually had to expand the parking lot for them lol.

I always have a gym membership though its debatable whether I'd be better being a pay as you go member the amount of time I "forget" to go....

I'm gonna make myself save money. Its a shame I dont have more of an emergency fund at this point. Also I am gonna make frequent conjugal visits to Boomerang, Natasha, and Zirc.

I agree..

I remember my mother making the "I resolve to quit smoking" on New Years eve every year as a kid..

By the time we woke up the next day she would have a cigarette in her mouth saying "aww it would not have lasted"..

If you think that way to start with why make any resolution ?

Resolutions are nothing but goals people usually make at the spur of the moment that have a very high failure rate.

This article describes it best..

Yep. Broad, large goals are often unattainable. You need to work in steps, set smaller sub-goals, and work out a plan to achieve your overall goal.

SMART Goals
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Timely

Emergency fund... Isn't that what you call a credit.. And when you say Conjugal, do you mean from a State Institution.. :24:

I usually don't do these, but......I have finally figured one out,....with a twist.
My new years resolution is to visit/meet at least one member a year...it will be an ongoing resolution ...but where should I start?

Tis a very good idea. I have only met one person off here so far.

I resolve to forever and always keep "liquid fire" somewhere in my house! (You don't want to know, trust me.) :p

Cod. Put me on your list. I'll take the last stop. ;)
