i would want to know why the body was discovered some months after the death
i cannot believe no-one (family) knew Mum was on heroin, you cannot hide that shit (surely)...how can you not check on kids at leasy every other day when you know mum is an addict

I don't know, not all families are close enough to be able to say. I only see my parents every 3-4 weeks, if I were on drugs then I doubt they'd know about it.
Or perhaps they had suspicions but no evidence to act on.
It's a horrible story anyway. Isn't it trainspotting or something, where the baby starves to death because the mum is off her face? Sometimes I think, maybe it's better that they don't survive - what kind of shit life were they going to have anyway? Very sad.

In this case the body of the child was rotting away IN the cot, IN the house she was living in

The thing about murderers, rapists, drug dealers, etc., they are all scum, and most share a common bond. That bond, they hate baby killers and pedophiles. Hart hopes that the woman will be subject to some "jail house justice."

Things like this have been going on for ages but you only hear about them today because the press can make money from a "sensational item" and bring every detail possible, true or embellished to light so people will gobble up their daily trash.
Man is by far the most barbaric animal on earth due to our mental capabilities. When was the last time you saw any other animal waterboarding another or finding some devious way to torture to the extent man has.
Is it incredible, certainly and far part what most "normal" people would do and horrible for sure.. Does it shock me.. Not considering what I know many people have been put through in hospitals and labs under the name of medical science.. Just my opinion my you..

I have had some horrible experiences at work with people on drugs, I find them very intimidating at times and I have been targeted by one before. Social work are always involved though and there are meetings and such before and after birth to determine if a baby will go to parents or not. In this case, for whatever reason it wasnt known and the poor kid was the one who suffered as a result. However, as someone has previously mentioned, it may be a blessing (not the way that the kid died cos thats awful) in disguise cos if no one knew the mum was on drugs, how are we to know how badly the child was being treated behind closed doors. Poor kid.
