I dont think there is some kind of wizmical magic that will get me back
But I think there is a nature to the actions sending of negative energy relieves stress on yourself but put the negative energy in someone else
and then they have to bare it or do something with it and usually it comes back to you

Karma is not disputable. It is everything that happens to you. It appears to be disputable because it's spoken so much in Buddhism.

Everything is disputable when it comes to beliefs....

I do not believe in some cosmic force that brings good things to good people and bad things to bad people.

Every morning I go out of my way to hold the door open for people when going in to get my coffee. Even if someone is a few steps behind me, I will open the door and wait for them to go in first.
So when I do something nice like hold the door open for someone and they say thank you with a smile, is that karma? If that's how you guys are defining karma, then yes. But if doing nice things will make some magical force return good things to me... then no, I do not believe that.

How do religions/those who believe in Karma explain cases where the cause did not justify the effect, such as a badly abused baby? This is a pure question, not an argument, as I am not a Karma expert. Would it be assumed the baby was a bad spirit? Or something like that?

I absolutely believe in karma. Last year I stopped by the Post Office to send off some Christmas packages and came across an elderly lady whose car was broken down. She had no cellphone and asked me to use mine, offering to pay me for the call. I refused, of course, and gave her my phone to use. I offered to take her somewhere or to stand by w/ her but she said her son was on the way. I went to the grocery store and, on the way back home, decided to stop and check on her again. She was still there waiting and thanked me for my concern.

The next week we got a Christmas card in the mail from a family friend. Inside was a check for $3000 w/ a note that she had been saving the money for a rainy day and just had a feeling that it was raining for us. I was behind on my mortgage at the time and her check helped me catch it up.

I still don't think that you helping the old lady was directly responsible for the friend sending you money. But obviously you're a nice a person otherwise the friend wouldn't have wanted to give you that gift so I suppose that's karma, in the way if you're nice to people, they'll be nice to you in return.
