adele is destined to outshine all of the present day songstresses

Absolutely, she's hugely talented and she's still so young as well. She'll be around for a longtime to come I reckon. My favourites of hers are Someone Like You and Chasing Pavements

It makes me tap my feet everytime I hear it, even though I'm to the point of almost being sick of it. We used to use it to cool down in DanceFit class but people were getting too mobile w/ it and it defeated the purpose of the COOL DOWN. :24:

I <3 the entire album, by the way. Love her cover of Love Song!!!

thing is with adele is that she'd have made it in any era, from the 60's to the present day...not bad for a young girl from tottenham

I never heard of her until this thread came along. She's quite bluesy and reminds me a lot of Amy Winehouse.

I absolutely hated Chasing Pavements. Couldn't stand it at all, but I also didn't know who sang it so when Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You came along, I didn't realise it was the same girl singing.

I heard a more dancey remix of Rolling In The Deep recently, it was pretty funky :p

There's a wasted talent, right there. I like Adele...but Amy Winehouse tops her in the talent department, IMO. Had she been strong enough to actually stay sober, she could've had an AMAZING career. What a shame.

Caught up in the pressures of music like many others. They have a life all thier own and unfortunately some can't take control. Unfortunately she won't be the last. It's a shame.

They both have / had talent but Amy was at it longer than Adele has been. Just give her some more time. Personally I think she's gunna go places if she keeps it together and doesn't get swayed to change her style to dramatically.

As for her music today I'm ok with about 1/2 of it which is a hell of a lot more than most of today's musicians. At lest you can understand her and she doesn't warble like the rest of them bimbo's.

True. That business will eat you alive if you're not equipped to deal w/ it.

I actually like her whole CD that I have...but I'm probably a lot less picky than you. As long as it isn't country or gospel, I'll give it a shot. Doesn't mean I'll like it...but I'll at least listen to it and SEE if I like it. Having said that...I love me some Lil' Wayne and I'm just guessing that you don't agree. :24:
