It has been below freezing at night the last couple of nights. We let in our outside cat. She is old and doesn't handle cold weather well. We lock her in the laundry room when we go to bed. She has food water and a litterbox in there along with a comfortable place to rest. This morning I was greeted with two heaping piles of pungent crap that were left uncovered to properly scent the room. I was gagging as I tried to do something with the stench. just dam*

not saying a dog wouldnt do it but a dog has to be sick to his stomach to make a stinch as bad as a regular cat poop
like hot poop that has been in a mixer with mustard

Removed the offending cat litter box. Sprayed the room with disinfectant. Lit a candle. Plugged in a plug-in. The cat stench is still winning. Considering calling HAZMAT.

From past experience the mixture of cat poo smell and perfumed sprays is nauseating! Hot water with bleach in it, then scrub!

makes you scream for a nice spring day out so you could open the windows....oh boy...fun times Fred...I was downstairs in the basement pulling out something for dinner and one of the cats followed me. I got my stuff out and she decided a celebration was in order...(or if you prefer odor)

We have three cats and I don't think there poop smells as bad as there pee. But my hubby has rigged a vent over there big litter box to the outside. It's downstairs and they have a catdoor in the door so it's not too bad. But then we are cat lovers so you know we are half crazy anyway.

That's unusual that the cat didn't use the litter tray, they'd usually look for somewhere like that to go, even when they're outside.

No cat door here. We have a lot of stray cats around our neighborhood and we live in the country. I have no desire to find an opossom or raccoon in my house.

Well when we get our house built on our property we will have a different arrangement alright.

one thing you could do is feed your cat purina brand cat food for senior cats
one or pro plan type
it costs more but you only have to feed him a hand full of it
so think twice as filling
and it will help tremendously with the odor
reduces the acid produce which will reduce the odor and make your cat feel good at the same time
im sure there are other brands out there but I used this one because our vet recommended it even though he didnt sponsor them and had completely different brand products in his office
and it worked
I was living with someone who had 4 cats and I hated them

My God. We had to give the cats away during the break-up, and it turned me off ever getting another cat.
