Looks like Dr. Roberts was right. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/...act-ndaa-obama-detainee-policy_n_1147878.html

WASHINGTON — The House passed a massive $662 billion defense bill Wednesday night after last-minute changes placated the White House and ensured President Barack Obama's ability to prosecute terrorist suspects in the civilian justice system.

It looks like we can count on our representatives to join hands and sing kumbayah when they are passing legislation that attacks our liberty.

wonder how many jobs are created by 662 billion

Millions actually. Well to be more correct it will keep millions of jobs.
This money IS the pay for our military and even though I DO NOT support the size and scope of our current military, I would not want to see these men and women go without their pay for a job they are doing.

Mike Rogers said on the radio that they tightened up the language a bit in what was passed last night

No American citizen would be indefinitely detained as was originally possible.

There are still two issues that fly in the face of the Constitution though

Habeas Corpus and Posse Comitatus

If those get ignored then we really are headed to the shit hole. Habeas Corpus is a fundemental that never should be ignored under any circumstance. And heaven help us if the Military gets police status inside the country.
