Would he still have gotten fired if he said "you look really nice in that dress"??? But because he handed her a note, he got fired?? I'm sorry :( I guess I'm not seeing the why in the getting fired part...

I am guessing the note had a little more suggestion to it then what he is saying...

That's a risky thing to do on the job because someone could easily take offense or misinterpret your intentions. Plus, it's pretty unprofessional and the note may have come across as creepy.

It's sad he lost his job though, especially in this economy.

It's inappropriate and probably caused the customer to feel uncomfortable. At the very least, disciplinary action was warranted.

Anybody else read the article recently about the TSA agent that was fired after leaving a note in a passenger's suitcase when she found a *ahem* battery operated device???

This is a bit off-topic, but I fucking detest the shitty TSA. I don't trust those bastards at all.

since starting work at the airport in October I know who I can joke with and others are such douche bags you have wonder who pissed in their Wheaties....

That was a dumb move on his part. He stepped out of bounds with that IMO.

Plus the note angle is really kinda creepy. I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but if a guy can't look me in the eye and tell me "hey, you look nice" then I don't need to hear whatever he's got to say. *shrugs*

Maybe I'm just weird, but I don't think someone giving you a note that says you look nice is all that creepy.

Unless, of course, there was something worse off in the note... something pervy??? But then I might just laugh and show the note to all my friends. But I'm strange like that.

I don't think he deserved to be fired, though.
