Nope, there's four of them and they were introduced into Rye House Marsh a couple of years ago to naturally keep the reed beds in check, they just stay on the marsh though and don't seem to wander off it, be interesting to see if they breed.

I would like a shot of shooting the old Rye House and Buffalo. The circles of mushrooms have always fascinated me as well. Thanks for posting 'em.

I've heard the mushroom circles called "Fairy Ring" here. What do you guys in Canada and the UK call them - besides mushroom circles.

Yeah, the fairy ring is a term used here as well, very strange how they grow like that, haven't seen any for ages and then three all together outside my home, loads of fungi growing there for some reason, long may it continue!

I don't know what it's like over there but once they get a foothold here the only way to get rid of the rings is to dig them out. I suppose it would be ok to leave them providing they are of the edible variety. If they are the poisonous ones it's best to destroy them.

No idea, we have a gardener to sort them out. Hope he leaves them though, they look great. Dunno if the're poisonous but they look like they may well be the edible variety (the ones in the rings, that is), I'll ask my dad who specialises in all that and if they are edible, go and pick them.

Be careful not to eat 'em unless you know damn well they are safe. Them fuckers can make you real sick. Matter of fact some can make you real dead.

Nah, I wouldn't eat any unless I know 100% that the're safe. Like I said though, my dad is an expert on knowing the different sorts of mushrooms and if the're safe or not and I trust his word on them.
