Should John Terry Lose The England Captaincy?

If he's found guilty yes absolutely. He does look pretty guilty after seeing the evidence and having more than just Anton Ferdinand make a complaint. But until he is found guilty he keeps it. The best thing for Terry to do if found guilty is resign as captain rather than being sacked because that would seem to imply reluctance perhaps. It could be harder for certain players to play with Terry given these allegations.

Damn :/
That's disgusting. If he did then he should for lose his captaincy for sure. I mean, he lost it before for having that affair right? I thought that was totally the right thing to do. These guys are role models for children, I have a 12 year old brother that lives for football one of his favorite teams is actually Chelsea and I know how much he looks up to those players. He plays for a couple of teams right now including a development/excellence team for a Premier League side, and if he stays with them until the age of 16 he will be getting payed to play football. I would hate for him to think things like that are acceptable. That's setting a really bad example and should be punishable.

Because if it's proven he did say it he'll be in for a ban and he'll certainly have to resign as England captain and possibly Chelsea captain. Rightly or wrongly, at this very moment in time, John Terry is still captain of both because it hasn't been proven he called Anton Ferdinand a black cunt. If he's found not guilty, then he has nothing to answer to. I personally think he did say it, or something like that, because the VT's I watched and the fact that not just Anton reported this, would seem to indicate that something of that nature was said.

John Terry has also apparently been included in England's squad for the games with Spain and Sweden. Now see this I disagree with because it's two different things, him resigning from the captaincy and playing for England because I don't think the first is that big of a deal while the investigation is still ongoing, while the second is because not only does Terry obviously play For England if selected, he'll also, as captain, have a duty to be at the press conference. Now my thinking is there will be a statement at the start saying something like "Do not, under any circumstances, ask John Terry about the ongoing investigation" but it's still tricky. Plus there's on the field, in the dressing room, on the training ground. It's one thing being at Chelsea because I have no doubt the club are more supportive of Terry than England would be because he's with players from different clubs, and maybe Rio Ferdinand, brother of Anton, how will he look him in the face? Rio's obviously had to remain quiet about this on Twitter, but deep down he must have some feelings about it.

Like I said before, he shouldn't resign the captaincy yet because this hasn't been proven. But on the same token he shouldn't be selected for England for all the reasons I named above, because this won't be sorted out this week. It happened two weeks ago. It's easier to prove he was shagging Wayne Bridge's missus than it is to prove he made a racist remark.

Now the bigger question is "is he a racist?", well that's difficult to prove. Because I think at one time or another everyone has made some form of racist remark about somebody/a group of people, but that's just an isolated incident. It's not right, but it doesn't make them a racist either. Now sure if he's proven guilty of this it's easier to call him a racist, and who knows, maybe Didier Drogba might come forward and say "Yeah he's always calling me and Florent (Malouda) a nigger", I doubt it, but who knows.

Found guilty or not, I don't think this will ever be forgotten about John Terry, and if he's found guilty, well. Especially with the younger fans who look up to him maybe. Let's assume for a second Terry is found guilty. In 15 years time these two teenagers are talking about older Chelsea players and Terry's name is mentioned. It might be said like this..."Well i heard he was a great defender in his day, a great captain, but wasn't he a racist?". Never goes away see.

Bwahahaha....good pun.

He either said it or he didnt....what is there to "prove"?

He's using the rather flimsy excuse that he said it but the camera missed the bit before which put it in context. He claims that Anton asked him "did you call me a black cunt" and he replied "no, I didn't call you a black cunt."
Most people would have just said no, but there you go. Of course the theory looks even worse when the other cameras evidence of the incident were viewed and Anton was shown not to have said anything at all.
