I'm 3/4 German and don't speak it at all. I like the sound of the language, both my mother's parents were fluent. But as for language that doesn't sound good to the ear, I had a girlfriend that spoke Vietnamese. I could not distinguish words, she tried to teach me but the subtleties were to subtle for my tin ear.
