I remember my midwife recommended whale song as "birthing music" for when I went into labour. Apparantly many women find it relaxing and a good way to bring a baby into a world.
I suppose it would have distracted from labour but only because my ears would be bleeding lol

Pretty sure this was already said but I want to post about this. If your happy about your weight then who gives a fack what others think. There is no set weight in the prefect world. Just be happy with yourself and don't worry about any poster's or advertisement. Also if your big don't look down on skinny. If your skinny then don't look down on bigger people. So people (mostly girls) get to caught up in looking like someone else other then consintrating on being themselves. Or trying to find out about themselves. Do be pro fat pro skinny. Just be happy with yourself.

you have a point. however most of society has taken a different approach. look at the advertising...it is aimed toward the beautiful and skinny. you will never see a BMW commerical with a short white guy who weighs about 320 and a shorter women who just seems plain next to him. we are bombarded everyday about our appreance whether one wants to admit it or not
Why would you aim your product towards like 30 % of the population ? That is just the way society is. Does not mean it is right. If I told you that you could sell 5 million more pairs of jeans if you use a well kept man in your advertisement would you ?
of course you are going to go where the money is. the problem is what are we teaching our younger generation. until you have had to deal with the teasing, bulling, and eating disorders to fit in, then one can see the bigger picture. but hey, im just an insignificant spec in the grand scheme of things
You are if you think you are. If you feel strong enough about it then voice your opinion. I am sure you can get a following if you use the right avenues. Nver think your just a spit in a bucket. Also though can't we just teach out own childeren to be able to communicate with there parents ? If my daughter/son hates themselves because of advertisment or teasing I have failed as a parent. I have never been one to sway my thoughts or beliefs just because someone tells me I am wrong. I also know when to eat crow and say sorry or to agree with someone. I hope that my childeren will emulate that. The world is tough for young now more then ever. There is no escape with the internet. You can hide at home. Coummunication HAS to be open with a parent and there child. You have to monitor things. I am babbling.
