NHL Season 2011-2012

haha, man. I am not a fan of the Redwings, but I couldn't believe Weber's move there at the end of the game. I also can't believe he got off with only a fine and nothing else.

Zetty boarded him pretty hard but that retaliation was ridiculous. I am loath to ever ever complain about referees, that's not my style, but we were definitely fighting with one hand tied behind our back on that...you can always tell something's up with ref bias when we're in the box all night, we're not a physical team at all!

I'm surprised it was as close as it was, but Rinne was stellar as usual!

Hate to break it to you, but the Predators spent more time in the box than you guys did.

Weber attacking Zetterberg like that was a bitch more, but at the same time, he was asking for it. Not that its excusable and I'm baffled that he only got a fine.

The call barrage shifted to Nashville around the midway point of the second period without a doubt.
I always prefer games with minimal calling, unless people are getting slashed or hurt. Can't stand ticky tack calls, not even if it gives my team a power play. Just keep the shit moving when something's ambiguous, it's not football for crying out loud...:tooth

I am inclined to agree with you. I much prefer that the refs just let the game go and only call the big penalties. It's playoff hockey. No stupid penalties!

I missed all the game last night but by the score it seems I missed nothing much.. :p

News here is that Daniel Sedin is out from the hit he took from Duncan Keith Mar 21 for the rest of this series minimum.. Perhaps it will finally either spark the team to stop dwelling on what could be and start playing with what they have..

It's no doubt our highest scoring player will be missed..

So according to NHL.com Luongo is willing to waive his no trade clause..

To which i can guarantee all of you "Louuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" haters will be quick to salivate at the thought of your team getting their hands on him or Schneider for that matter..

Too bad the Canucks know how to pull a great season team together but not a playoff one..

Nah, I'm perfectly okay with having Mike Smith.... then again, I suppose I'm not a Luongo "hater" per se, I just liken him to Bryzgalov.... great during the regular season, and then chokes in the playoffs.

I think with the right coach he will win..I think most teams dreaming of getting him are just doing that. His contract is still in place for 12 more years and no trade clause will follow and become a lot more of a liability as he gains age.

I think your right in that Smith would be a loss for you. I can see Montreal trying to get him to draw him home or Florida for his wife. Otherwise he will just stay here and we will see a shuffle at the top.
