And this is why you don't buy first gen.

It's ridiculous how they market there products, they release it knowing 6 months later they are going to make an upgraded version :/ thats business I suppose.

I have to say, it depends on what you give a damn about as well. My iPhone is the second gen, and I've had it for nearly three years. It still works fine. The only issue I've had, which isn't really an issue, is that I've now reached the point where there are apps available that won't work on my phone, but that's no great loss for me because it's mainly video-based software.

If you're the sort of person who has to have the newest version though, I can see how it gets annoying :p

I will never understand the love for their products. I mean, I love my iPod, but only because it connects to my car, otherwise, I could care less. Fuck Apple.

I love Apple, but I don't need the next best thing from them. It took me a year to get an iPhone 4 because my DROID worked just fine, and I had my previous MacBook for over three years before buying this one.

I'm still very happy with my 3GS. It serves my needs well and I doubt I'll be upgrading or changing anytime soon. The only thing I may do is look around at pay as you go deals or other contracts as I'm now out of mine.

:homo: it took me a few years b4 i changed my droid to an Iphone. I love it hence when i had lots of problems with my Sony Vaio laptop is the only time i changed to a MacBook. I've had my Macbook for more than 3 years now and still works well with no problems encountered ever since. I love Apple products but i don't go after changing it to newer technology after they bring the new models in...

:homo: I have the older model of the 3GS from you. I think I've had mine 2-3 months b4 you got yours. I haven't changed too yet Apple given i work for the State with their Apple incentives and also from At&T giving me an earlier upgrade capability- I am so tempted to get the Iphone4. But I'll wait for the next generation whatever it is...IPhone 4GS or Iphone 5 maybe :D

That's how I feel about my iPhone 4. I'll buy the next best iPhone when this one literally stops working. Otherwise it's just fine.

Yeh I've personally owned numerous iPods, but I only replace them when they break, not when a new model is released. I've had the same 'Dell' laptop for 7 years and it still works like a charm!
