As I say, don't call be babe, I am not a pig.
It's funny you bring that up... my ex fuck buddy that wanted more called me babe.... and the way she said it was nails on a chalkboard to me... one of the reasons I had to end it... now my wife calls me that too sometimes... and it doesn't bother me at all... I call her honey most of the time and as far as I know she is ok with it... Tell him you don't like it. If my wife wanted to call me Jer I would ask her not to since that is how my ex wife always addressed me....

I hate baby. I am not a pig nor a baby. I am not a sweetheart, thats too soppy. I tend to use love or dear (dear used as a more sarcastic term) and honey if I am drunk. Overall I am not a fan of pet names.

I've never used pet names, it feels weird. My name is Laurie. If my mum wanted people to call me Babe, Baby etc, she would have named me that. My family like to tear each other to shreds at times, we never call each other by pet names. I just don't like them much. I will accept being called love or honey but thats my limit.

I call my friends sweetie. And I don't usually shorten people's names because most people don't enjoy it. That being said, I really don't mind any variation of my name, whether it's Jen, Jenny or Jennifer.
I just have a bad run in with a Mel..(he kinda ruined my mom) and I try to avoid it cuz of that. I don't mind being call Missy... but that one never really comes out of it.. That's why I tell everyone to call me MJ or Melissa any more.
