A pulse is probably compulsory eh?

As a civilian, I turned down a couple of transfers to other states because some of my firearms were considered illegal. Know why I didn't move? Because I didn't want to be breaking the law.

In the most lax "gun law" states, it's pretty simple, don't break any laws and buy what you want (per certain guidelines, as most guns still have certain federal requirements that must be met, such as barrel length).

It happened because a bunch of uneducated thugs without as much as 1goal in life were looking for a reason to blow off some steam prior to receiving their next benefit cheque.

As far as " using the police to murder people for stealing a pair of trainers " I have no problem with that. They are taking property that doesn't belong to them and they full well know it.

Clearly you have no understanding whatsoever of the riots. It was people from all walks of life taking part, a teacher, a millionaires kid, a ballet school student, an organic chef, a law student, a university graduate, a musician and an opera steward to name a few.

As for your second comment, just wow! Maybe you should go and live in Iran or something, you'd like it over there seeing thats how they like to run their country.

:24:

I always find it amusing when people condone murder.

"Shoot the bastards!"
"Kill them all!"
"They stole a pair of trainers, Kill them!!!"

I guess everyone here should be put to death. Not a single person here is innocent, at some point in every one of our lives we have stolen something.
So this "Thug" should be murdered for stealing a $20 shoes?
Is anyone here using pirated software?
Does anyone here listen to downloaded music?
Ever taken something that doesn't belong to you?
What about taking credit for a picture you didn't take? That's theft as well...

So I guess we should ALL line up to get shot in the head and the last guy can take his own life.

We had the same shit happen here just recently. It wasn't to the same extent as you had it but none the less it happened. That said.. the vast majority of people that took part in our riots were by the type of people I mentioned. I'm assuming the same stood true for your riots.

As for your second comment, just wow! Maybe you should go and live in Iran or something, you'd like it over there seeing thats how they like to run their country.

Maybe thugs should stop stealing other peoples shit and they wouldn't get shot. I don't go around doing crap like that nor does anyone I know so it's a no brainer that we don't get shot at. Can you say that for you and " everyone " you know?

You are up to your old tricks and cherry picking again Tim. Didn't you read the part where the thug had a weapon and pointed it at the cop?

Even if he didn't have a weapon he won't be stealing another persons hard earned belongings again.

So I guess we should ALL line up to get shot in the head and the last guy can take his own life.

:24:

Absolutely but you have to go first. I promise I'll go last. :24:

Cherry picking? Really? Here, I'll post what you said earlier... maybe you don't remember

A few well placed bullets in the middle of some foreheads and it would have come to a stop very quickly.

A dead thug can't start a riot but a bunch of live thugs with a fucking excuse can. Fact !

As far as " using the police to murder people for stealing a pair of trainers " I have no problem with that.

Now how can I possibly take any of those comments out of context?

It's a matter of what you said not what I said that qualifies you as cherry picking again. To refresh your memory this is what you said....

Because of that statement I reminded you that the thug had a weapon and he pointed it at the cop. If you were a cop would you have shot him or told him to drop his pants and .... skip it..... I don't want to hear whet you would have done to him.

I see now you really do have no idea about what happened. The guy who got shot by police was a known gangster with a gun. I don't blame the police for shooting him. That's what triggered off the riot. The people looting wern't running around with guns.

And when you said that a few well placed bullets in the foreheads of rioters would stop it... you must mean the armed ones, right?

And when you say a dead thug cannot start riots, you ONLY mean armed ones, right?

And you just weren't clear when you said, "As far as " using the police to murder people for stealing a pair of trainers " I have no problem with that." you meant only if they are armed, right?

Sorry, it was my mistake. I read your posts as though you were condoning shooting a few rioters to stop the rest of them. Or that if you are stealing someone else property that you deserve to be shot and killed...

Everyone has at some point in their life, everyone.

You may not have physically picked up something that doesn't belong to you and take it home, but there are many ways to steal.
Have you always devoted 100% of your time to your company while at work? If you ever posted on facebook or at a forum while at work, you are stealing from your company.....

I don't care if it was 1p chew they stole. The fact is they ambushed shops while it and people were under attack by thugs, and abused the position by running an and taking what isn't theirs.
The fact that people were killed trying to help, or got in the thugs way. Life for a life in my eyes.

The bottom line to all this is.

All involved should be punished harshly

Nope. I don't work atm lol

But I see what you're saying, but little things like this is nothing, and can't be compared to what disgusting acts have been done in these riots, Tim :)

I absolutely can distinguish between someone who steals and people are rioting. I wasn't grouping them together.
And I agree that those who are involved with the riots should be punished harshly... but I would go so far as to say that we should start shooting into the crowd. Riots are very destructive, but death is the ultimate penalty

I think people are just speaking out of anger for the whole thing. I know it has made me very angry. I am just shocked at the way people are and behave.

But I do believe a life for a life. I do not forgive those who takes a life.

I have heard a number of people proclaim they feel the rioters should be executed. It's amazing how much a singular event can cause such a domino effect of chaos and anger.

It's words, all words. People are quick to talk the talk when they're angry or afraid.

I had a very heated argument with my partner about the riots because personally, I view the majority as petty thieves, whereas he was convinced it was a revolution. In the end I think we were both a little right. It's a symptom of things needing to change in the system, but at the same time a lot of people used the atmopshere of confusion and fear as a platform to nick themselves a new flatscreen, which I find incredibly dishonorable.

I meant exactly that and you fucking well know it. I have no regrets for saying it. I meant it then and I still mean it now. I have zero sympathy for someone that makes a conscious decision to break the law and despite your trying to portray the " good guy " I'm sure you don't either. Get off your high horse and go count something.

For sure.

I think people are opportunists, and they're prone to getting riled up and mobilizing in which ever direction they fancy. That direction seems to be guided by their view of their place in society. Mobs of people who think they are good for society and have something to offer would peacefully rally or do something good in the name of their discontent.

Groups of people who feel like they have no place in the society, take any opportunity to prove just that. Just like hurricane Katrina, these people looted when they didn't even have a home to put their stolen flatscreens in!

The thing is, that's on THEM. Poor people can feel like good people, worthy of being good people, no matter how oppressed they are. Others choose to agree, they aren't worth shit, and so they take the easy way out and act like animals.
