Being a passenger in anyone else's car. I swear, in a past life, I died a horrible death from being a passenger in a car or something lol.

I have a phobia of vomit (not of doing it myself, but of other people). I seriously reconsidered teaching because of it. I panic when I see it and obsess over it for years after. It is a real problem, for sure.

Phobia - Lifts/elevators. I hate them and if I had a choice I would never go in them. But I have a 3 year old and she can't walk up huge numbers of stairs so I sometimes have no choice.

I have some obsessions/compulsions. I don't have OCD though. If I am the last person to leave the house, I have to go back and check all the doors, all the windows, turn everything off at the plugs, turn the lights on and then off again to make sure they are all off.
Then I leave the house and lock the door.
Then I go back and check it all again and this time check the taps aren't running and to make sure the cooker is turned off.
Then I leave the house and lock the door.
Then I check the door is locked several times. Then I walk down the street before running back and checking the door is locked again. Then I can walk to the bus stop. If the bus doesn't come quickly though, I go back and check the door again.

I then get panicky when I finally make it onto the bus because what if the door isn't locked? What if the taps aren't off and water is going everywhere? What if the plugs explode and set fire to the house? Eventually it goes away and whilst having the thoughts in my head and when I'm going back checking, I know I am being very very very stupid.

Be interesting to see if when I move out, I get better or worse. I don't worry if I am the last person out the house or if some is still home while I go out.

Spiders, snakes etc, all the usual animals that people are commonly scared of, I have no problem with. I cannot stand animals that spit though e.g. camels and llamas.

I don't like some insects, like moths and little flys. I don't think it's a phobia though, because I realised the main reason I don't like them is because they fly about at night and keep me up.
