Thats a pretty decent bit of art by a group of people.

Its a masterpiece actually.

The perfect geometry and angles...and all done from the ground with no airshots to go off...and all literally overnight...I'd say thats VERY impressive....there would have had to be A LOT of people to pull that off...wonder how they did it with no one noticing?

It's not that impressive when you see how they do it. It's actually really easy to make very large perfect circles and patterns from the ground using pieces of string and precise measurements. Then you stamp down the crops using a wooden board. And with a group of people it might only take a few hours to complete.

I remember thinking the Nazca Lines were incredible until I watched a show where a guy reproduced them exactly, from the ground, using just string and tools available to the people at the time.
Well I still think they are incredible but knowing how they made them but it took some of the mystery and amazement away.

True. i've seen programns on it too. I still think they're amazing. All the trouble and time, and the patterns are beautiful.

This ^^^. I've made some before which arn't that much less impressive than that one and that was just two of us doing it without planning it all out before hand and just going in with a rough idea of what we were doing. It's also not that dark when you've got a decent bit of moonlight on a summers night.

Yeah I was going to say it's not that dark if you have moonlight and your eyes adjust to it. Also depending on how isolated the field is, you could use torches (flash lights).
