oh and nothing is far. 'big city' life is about an hour away, mini city life is about 30 minutes away, beach life is 30 minutes away, wildlife/outdoor/country is down the road. Southeast texas has EVERYTHING you want! country, city, metro, suburbia, rural, etc. and everything is within reach

you just gotta deal with the heat, humidity, and skeeters! :D

Crosshaven- Co. Cork

- It's a pretty little fishing village
- It's by the sea
- It has a huge yacht regatta every two years that attracts people from all over the world
- It's home to the oldest yacht club in the world
- They've just opened Fort Camden as a tourist attraction which was built in 1780, this Fort along with Fort carlisle across the way were used to protect Cork harbour which is (along with a few others) the second largest natural harbour in the world)

Recreation: Within an hour of downtown you can hit the beach, the mountains or woods.

What beach is an hour from Atlanta?

I was wondering the same thing, LOL I guess technically if there is sand by water it's considered a beach...but I only consider going to the ocean "going to the beach."

Oh! That's rright for $70-$115 you can have me touch 90% of your body!

To be fair, on a burn chart those parts only count for 1% each. :ninja

As for where I live, there are no selling points. It's an ugly small city w/ horrible traffic. Oh wait, we raise good ball-players...that counts for something, right???

One thing I don't miss about the Big A is traffic and urban sprawl. Los Angeles got nothing on Atlanta traffic any more.

Hahahahahahaha :24:

Please tell me you're not actually serious. When was the last time you tried driving down the 405 at rush hour? Or how about getting through the East LA Interchange with even moderate traffic and it didn't take 20-30 minutes. Sorry, Atlanta traffic is bad... but it still has nothing on LA traffic.

To be fair, nobody drives in LA during rush hour. They just coast. :24:

When was the last time you drove the Downtown connector? I-85? I-75? I-285? GA 400? Many more hell hole highways around metro Atlanta than you know.

The last time I was in Atlanta was a little over two and a half years ago. I doubt it's gotten significantly worse since then. I'm not saying that Atlanta traffic is good... I'm saying that to claim it's worse than LA is laughable.

I drove 180 miles to West Hollywood from where I live (coming from the north) to go to a concert. My friend drove about 30 miles from his house in South Whittier. I made my drive in three hours, and it took him almost two and a half.
